B’haalot’kha: Missing Miriam

I can understand how those other than the original Jews appropriated Jesus for themselves. After all, he was a Prophet, a maker of miracles, healing the sick and bringing the dead back to life. But how in the world they claimed Miriam, mother of Jesus, a Jewish woman, who in all probability made a delicious chicken soup, how they made her into the holy virgin mother, this i will never understand.
